Did you know that because baby pigs grow at an alarming rate, 48 pigs were used for the filming of Babe? Or that the director of Muriel's Wedding had to fly to Europe to convince ABBA to give permission for their songs to feature in the film? Or that the town of Poowong in South Gippsland was selected for the premier of Kenny? Reel Locations: The Ultimate Guide to Aussie Films is a book for anyone with an interest in Australian films - and for those wanting to relive the magic that was created.
This book was conceived for online delivery as a PDF. The content was collated from a range of the authors' blogs and seminar notes. I gave it quite a strong structural edit, moving bits around from here to there, as well as copyedit to integrate the two authors' voices and make it flow.
I laid it out in Word, which was a fun project (for those who've played with automatic contents and section breaks, changing headers and footers, etc) and I also did some photo research to add some colour and interest.
submission to the Victorian Department of Transport
The Keolis Downer Railway tender preparation process was an intensive one, with a large number of document components coming in from a number of departments requiring a very tight turnaround. I managed the editing and proofreading stage for all the tender documents. For this I was managing eight proofreaders, doing a lot of document traffic control, devising and implementing style guidelines and performing final checks of documents before and after they were typeset.
The final submission contained: 13 binders and 4000 pages of text.

I edited the two main components of a kit being sent to food businesses in Victoria, comprising an information booklet and a set of fact sheets on specific food allergens and intolerances. This job also involved extracting the manuscript from Microsoft Publisher, reformatting and briefing the designer.
Since meeting Tendar, attending his meditation sessions and teachings and hearing his stories I was moved to try to help him raise money. I obtained free services from a graphic designer and a pre-production house, self funded the printing of this calendar and produced it in time for pre-Christmas sales.
